This is one of the most impressive costume pieces I own! I've made my own light up costumes using EL wire in the past, but the fiber optic woven fabric of this piece is so much more unique and high impact. The fabric is thick and a bit stiff, but still moves like normal fabric and is comfortable to wear. The styling of this garment is sleek and futuristic, and the buckles and straps for the body and neck aren't just for looks, they're functional to adjust the fit for a wide range of sizes too. The lights are controlled by a single button in a small battery box sewn into the shoulder, it's not bulky or obvious at all. Clicking the button cycles the lights through 7 different colors in solid, flashing and multicolor shifting modes. There's a charging port built into this box too, compatible with a standard USB-C charger. If you don't have a USB-C cable, there's one included in the box, but I was able to charge the batteries with my cell phone charger also. A single charge lasts for hours, and the only downside is that the batteries are integrated into the garment and can't be swapped out for longer wear. Fortunately, all the wear I get out of this piece is so much fun it doesn't bother me! It lights up so bright in a dark room and really doesn't look like anything else out there. It's not as impressive with the lights on, but the fiber optic lights are still somewhat visible even out of the dark. I'm truly impressed with the build quality and design of lumisonata's products and I'd recommend them for anyone who wants to stand out!I'm a performer and also attend raves on a regular basis. I'm always looking for fun new items for costuming for the stage and to wear to raves. When lumisonata offered this item to try, I was so excited. Then I saw the size and went ARRRG. Small and large. I am larger than a large. I am also good at altering items to fit. Could I make this work?I took a good look at the models in the ad. I noticed the garment had some extra room and even tho the models are traditional tiny model sized, I decided to order anyway. I am NOT tiny. I hover between XL-2XL depending on my happiness. When miserable I lose weight. I am currently miserable, awww, that's sad, so I am a solid XL. I thought OK, let's see what happens. I can always find a way to alter a garment and make it work for my curves and swerves.Well, lumisonata I would hug you if I could, because you turned my misery to glee! IT FITS! IT FITS! HEYYYY EVERYONE LISTEN UP! IT FITS THIS BIGGER GAL!!If you happen to be a 1x-2x, this will fit. If you happen to be a muscular guy, this will fit. You can't be weight lifting competitor winning every gun show muscular, but this item has some room for all of your goodness.The item looks exactly as it does in the pictures. You will need a dark room to really see it light up. This isn't for bright rooms at all, so please take note, but it will show off nicely under dark conditions.Once you are in a dark space, press the button, which is very soft and can easily be reached if you are performing and want to do a quick WOW with the lights for the crowd. You'd just have to memorize how many times to press the button depending on the color or light pattern desired. If used for dancing at a rave or club, you could easily switch things around to keep your look interesting.I'm also so pleased to report the collar is also generous! I thought for sure I'd have to add an extender but no! There is room left over. Thick in the neck? Not a problem!Can you believe you can wash this garment? For those of us who sweat hard in our performance/rave wear, this is such a bonus!! There's only so much odor removing fabric sprays can do. If you look sexy, you want to smell sexy!I find the fit comfortable. I carry weight in my arms, and my arms are not pinched by elastic at all. Note the inside is polyester, so it will get hot and sweaty, but you can always put it over a cotton sleeve shirt.I am going to be stunning for my performance. Thank you lumisonata for cutting this garment with extra room for those of us who are bigger than go-go dancer size. If you are small, get the small. Medium to 2x, get the large. Everyone wins!When I saw this item I had to order it. I was intrigued with the color range and I love going to conventions and knew this would be perfect for costumes and the parties. The sleeve fits me perfect and I am 5'3" 180 pounds. My arms are slender but the piece is spacious with elastice around the wrist that fits comfortably. I have a bit of a wide neck and choker piece fit well around it not being too tight. It also has an adjustable strap that goes from your back to your chest to keep it snug and fitted to your body. I still had a lot of room after adjusting it for my fit. The length of the arm is good and the way it is made it works for my short arms and will work for someone taller than me. The leds operate witha button that sits by the shoulder and has a decent amount of options to choose from. The piece is easy to charge. The color is not as visible when off the body and in brighter light but it looks amazing when worn in a dark room.It came with a charger and wasn’t aware of that. It doesn’t have an adapter piece for it but when you get it , you have to charge it. You can adjust the sleeve to your liking , same thing with the neckline and it’s perfect.
