some reviewers thought it was overpriced but i think the price i paid was fair for the particle-board version of a style that in finer furniture can cost almost 10x as much. it has a "rough hewn" look but the surface is actually a smooth laminate style. you should really read all the instructions and check all the parts before you commence assembly (and if you don't that's on you.) it is VERY heavy (100+ pounds) and if i ever intend to move it from where it is now i'm definitely going to have to disassemble it. it is nice and solid in place but it would probably collapse under it's own weight if you tried to put it on a dolly. no parts were missing and it also came with a substantial number of spare parts. the instructions are diagrams, not words, but i found them very accurate and easy to follow. i only had to backtrack once (i put the shelf in backwards because i didn't see the holes in the back side) but i didn't have to undo as much as i thought i would in order to fix it. took me most of an evening plus just a little more to fully assemble. i feel this is a very nice product compared to others in the same style and price range, but you should definitely read through all the descriptions and specs before you order so you know what you are getting. (i wrote a separate review for the seller as there was some shipping confusion, but ultimately i am fully satisfied)
